Welcome

RTN Federal Credit Union is pleased to offer the “Cents-ible Saver Club”  to the students in grades one through six. The Cents-ible Saver Club is a savings program designed to teach students the power of saving and other key financial concepts. For students who already participate in this club, the days the Credit Union will be at the school are listed below. Students interested in opening a Cents-ible Savers Club account can see the Credit Union representative on any of these days to obtain the necessary forms. We welcome all elementary school students of Fitzgerald, MacArthur, Northeast, Our Lady's, Plympton and Stanley schools to take advantage of this program.

How Does My Child Sign Up?

An initial deposit of $5.00, a completed membership card and photocopies of both the parent's government issued ID and child's social security card is necessary to open an account. Each interested student will see our credit union representative on the scheduled days.  All student members earn dividends on their savings account.

How Does the Program Work and When Are Deposits Made?

It varies by school, please refer to your school schedule. A Credit Union Representative will visit the school to accept deposits and answer questions on that designated day. There is a minimum deposit of $1.00. Students will receive a receipt of their deposit and we will update our School deposit record sheets and present the student with a deposit receipt. These receipts will allow each student to keep their own records of their Credit Union activity. You will have deposit confirmation by comparing these receipts to the student's quarterly statement.

Each student participating in the Cents-ible Saver Club needs an adult of 18 years or older to be a co-owner on the account. While deposits will be accepted at the school, all withdrawals must be conducted at one of the Credit Union’s offices. The parent or guardian must authorize the student’s withdrawal. The office at 600 Main Street, Waltham, is open Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, and Friday from 8 am to 4 pm, Thursday from 8 am to 5 pm, and Saturday from 8:30 am to 12:00 noon.
