By applying for membership in RTN Federal Credit Union, you certify that the information you provide us is true and correct. You acknowledge receipt of the terms and conditions applicable to the account requested, including a Deposit Account Agreement, Truth in Savings Disclosure for the Main Share Account and Funds Availability Disclosure and agree to the same, as amended from time to time. You authorize us to verify the information provided by you through CheckSystems, Inc., and understand that the opening of this account is provisional, subject to a satisfactory report from CheckSystems.
To speed the processing of your application, please follow these steps:
* Complete the Membership application and sign it.
If you are a Massachusetts resident, we request that you visit an RTN branch location to process your membership application. When applying for an RTN membership via the US mail from outside of Massachusetts, we require your signature to be notarized and you provide us proof of membership eligibility (ex. current pay stub from an exisiting employer group).
* Provide us a photocopy of proper identification such as a license or a government issued photo ID.
* Include an initial deposit of $25
In accordance with the USA Patriot Act, federal legislation passed by the United States Congress in 2001, RTN Federal Credit Union asks for specific information in order to verify the identity of our members. When opening an account, you will be asked to provide:
- your name
- your date of birth
- your place of residence (not a P.O. box)
- a taxpayer identification number
- a valid government-issued photo identification
In addition to this information, we reserve the right to request additional identification or information.
