Branch Manager – Andover/Danvers

RTN Federal Credit Union, one of the largest credit unions in the state is seeking a seasoned customer-service-oriented, self-motivated individual with managerial experience to manage our Danvers and Andover branches. Responsible for all aspects of running our branches.

Minimum requirements:

  • Five or more years’ experience in banking or credit union branch management and familiarity with all banking products and services
  • Strong sales background
  • Must have a positive “can do” attitude and high energy level
  • High level of attention to detail and organizational skills
  • Strong customer service orientation
  • Excellent written and verbal communications skills
  • Bachelor’s Degree required

Duties include but are not limited to:

  • Responsible for the overall performance of Danvers and Andover branches.
  • Develops staff through goal-setting, coaching, problem resolution, delegation, training, counseling, and performance management.
  • Effectively manages staff performance. Ensures that excellent, efficient, accurate, and professional service is provided to all members.
  • Fosters a team environment in the branch.
  • Communicates daily exceptions of operational, employee, or branch issues to senior management.
  • Maintains thorough knowledge of operations procedures and RTN products and services.
  • Ensures that the branches are consistent in their daily, weekly, and monthly functions.
  • Takes real estate loans and conducts equity closings.
  • Promotes RTN in the community and assists the Business Development area as needed.
  • Travels to and covers other branches as needed.
  • Works early opening/late closing hours and Saturdays as needed.

 

 

Full-Time Universal Banker – Waltham

RTN Federal Credit Union is looking for a friendly, outgoing, versatile individual to work directly with our customers (members) to help them with their financial service needs. This 40-hour full-time position will be based at our main headquarters in Waltham.
Duties and requirements:

  • Proficient in all aspects of member service including processing consumer loans from application to closing
  • Assists members with first mortgage and Home Equity applications and conducts Home Equity loan closings
  • Identifies opportunities and refers member to RTN Financial & Retirement Group and also refers member to RTN Realty Group
  • Promotes RTN Insurance Agency by assisting members with their insurance needs
  • Assists management with daily operations and professional requirements
  • Ability to meet goals as established by management
  • Develops and deepens members’ relationships by demonstrating ownership and resolving members’ problems efficiently, and by turning servicing requests and routine transactions into opportunities to enhance our members’ financial well-being
  • Successfully completes all required registrations or certifications as needed
  • Required to travel to other branches as need
  • Required to work Saturdays
  • May perform other functions of an equal value as may be required

This position is ideal for a candidate who is self-motivated, possesses excellent verbal and written communication skills as well as the ability to work with people at all levels and to take the initiative to go above and beyond basic customer service. Knowledge of a second language is a plus – Spanish speaking preferred.

Full-Time ATM/Checking Processors – Waltham
(Two positions available, one requires local travel on an as-needed basis)

RTN has two openings for full-time (40-hour) ATM/Checking Processors. Both positions are based out of our Waltham branch, and one requires travel.

ATM/Checking processors are responsible for numerous tasks that are vital to the smooth operation of the ATM/Checking department at RTN Federal Credit Union. In addition to the requirements listed below, we are searching for an enthusiastic, customer-service-oriented individuals to become part of our team.

Duties include but are not limited to:

  • Process ATM and debit card applications
  • Process daily share draft exception list
  • Order ATM and debit records
  • Verify and balance ATM envelopes and prepare cash deposit for bank
  • Image checks
  • Process incoming member account corrections per Fiserv reports from foreign ATM networks
  • Balance ATM machines as needed
  • Assist and support branch personnel and members with a variety of inquiries

The position requires at minimum a high School diploma or equivalent (Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree preferred).

Full-Time Member Service/IRA Representative – Waltham

RTN Federal Credit Union is looking for a friendly, outgoing, versatile individual to work directly with our customers (members) with their financial service needs, including IRAs. This 40-hour,full-time position is at our main headquarters in Waltham. This individual will work closely with members, assisting them with all aspects of their new and existing accounts with RTN.

Duties include but are not limited to:

  • Opening new accounts and ordering related credit and debit cards and checks
  • Assisting members with account-related transactions such as fund transfers, automatic transfers, stop payments, inquiries about account transactions, address changes, funds availability and check verification requests by third parties
  • Researching member accounts and referring to appropriate area for problem resolution
  • Opening, reviewing, analyzing, and maintaining all IRA accounts
  • Calculating excess IRA contributions and interest earned, making adjustments as needed
  • Preparing appropriate IRA tax forms
  • Develops and deepens members’ relationships by demonstrating ownership and resolving members’ problems efficiently, and by turning servicing requests and routine transactions into opportunities to enhance our members’ financial well-being
  • May be required to travel to other branches as needed
  • May be asked to work Saturdays as needed

Full-Time Credit Card Processor – Waltham

RTN Federal Credit Union is seeking a full-time (40 hour) Credit Card Processor at the Waltham branch.  This position is responsible for setting up new credit card accounts, updating existing accounts on our credit card system and answering credit card account-related inquiries both internally and externally.

Duties include but are not limited to:

  • Processing credit card applications from start to finish including pulling credit reports, figuring debt-to-income ratios and preparing all necessary paperwork
  • Transcribing loan-by-phone applications
  • Setting up new accounts on the credit card system, updating existing accounts, processing increases to existing credit care accounts
  • Answering credit card related questions from our members (external) and our employees (internal)

Requirements:

  • High School Diploma (Associates or Bachelor’s Degree preferred)
  • One year’s experience in a financial institution, preferably a bank or credit union

Additionally, the successful candidate will:

  • Possess strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Be customer-service oriented, with a friendly and welcoming demeanor
  • Be organized and detail oriented

Full-Time Mortgage Originator – Waltham

As the RTN Federal Credit Union Mortgage Loan Originator/Consultant you will work from our headquarters at 600 Main Street in Waltham with referrals from RTN Realty Advisors and RTN Financial and Retirement Group, in addition to originating loans on your own. The successful candidate will be outgoing, organized, able to communicate well in person and in writing, able to work with people from all walks of life and be self motivated. This position requires two years of mortgage origination experience and one or more years related lending experience.

Duties include and are not limited to:

  • Working with referrals from RTN Realty Advisors and RTN Financial and Retirement Group.
  • Counseling prospects about loan programs and pricing using a thorough knowledge of key lending concepts such as debt-to-income rations, Loan-to-Value percentages, credit scoring, and other underwriting criteria.
  • Taking loan applications and gathering all documentation necessary to process Mortgage loans.
  • Ensuring that RTN delivers on its commitments by keeping members updated on all loans from application through funding.
  • Participating in community-related events and sponsorships to advance the Credit Union’s initiatives; maintaining personal networks; and participating in professional organizations to regularly update job knowledge.
  • Contacting and visiting potential or existing Credit Union members independently.
  • Cultivating new real estate lending opportunities that can be developed into strategic relationships.
  • Interviewing members, analyzing their current financial position to determine appropriate mortgage products, and consulting with members on alternatives to the original loan application when necessary.
  • Coordinating and performing preliminary financial analysis and credit investigations to make sound credit decisions as directed.
  • Communicating credit decisions to prospects and members and negotiating specific terms and conditions for loans within parameters, as defined by policy and credit decisions.
  • Accommodating members’ needs by meeting with them at their convenience, which may be outside of the Credit Union’s regular place of business and hours of operation, in addition to servicing members at assigned branches.
  • Understanding and maintaining a broad level of knowledge about real estate products and other Credit Union products and services to assist in relationship-building initiatives; as well as staying informed about loan policy, required documentation, and regulatory requirements.
  • Preparing weekly pipeline status and other as-needed reports for the Chief Lending Officer.
  • Performing any and all other duties that may be required to meet the business needs of the department and Credit Union.

Full-Time Tellers – Dedham, Dorchester, Marlborough, Tewksbury and Waltham

We have a great opportunity for a friendly, outgoing, customer-service-oriented individuals who would like to join RTN Federal Credit Union as a Teller.  These positions are full time, Monday through Friday with Saturday rotations at existing branch or another RTN branch location. Put your communication skills to use as you interact with our customers (members) to assist them with their financial services needs. Knowledge of a second language is a plus (Spanish speaking preferred). Be part of an organization that is working for the benefit of its members.

Duties:

  • Perform daily transactions (deposits, withdrawals, transfers, travel checks, money orders, savings bonds, etc.) accurately and efficiently with a friendly and courteous demeanor.
  • Balance daily teller work
  • Explain Credit Union products and services to customers
  • Travel to other branch offices as needed

Requirements:

  • Minimum of a High School Diploma and experience with customer service in a financial institution.
  • Knowledge of a second language is a plus.
