Full-Time Bank Secrecy Act (BSA) Officer – Waltham

The Bank Secrecy Act (BSA) Officer is responsible for coordinating the development, implementation and administration of all aspects of the Credit Union’s Bank Secrecy Act (BSA) Compliance Program. This position monitors compliance with state and federal Bank Secrecy Act (BSA), USA PATRIOT Act, Anti-Money Laundering (AML) and OFAC laws and regulations.

Minimum requirements:

  • College degree or prior experience in a financial institution
  • Minimum of three years’ experience in banking compliance or regulatory roles, preferably in Anti-Money Laundering in banking
  • Experience dealing directly with auditors and state or federal regulators
  • Experience managing direct reports
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, ability to effectively interact with senior management

Duties include but are not limited to:

  • Overseeing all aspects of the Credit Union’s Bank Secrecy Act (BSA) and Anti-Money Laundering (AML) programs
  • Coordinating and assisting in the administration of independent, state and federal regulator and auditor examinations and reviews
  • Coordinating responses to regulatory BSA/AML examinations and audits and actions taken to insure deficiencies are corrected
  • Making recommendations to the Compliance and/or Risk Management Officer and senior management when and where appropriate
  • Maintaining proficient knowledge of the rules and regulations, including, but not limited to, the Bank Secrecy Act (BSA), USA PATRIOT Act, and OFAC
  • Working with Operations units to investigate transactions that are suspicious in nature
  • Submittng Suspicious Activity Reports for BSA/AML-related activities
  • Monitoring and tracking BSA/AML high-risk customers and accounts
  • Filing CTRs and managing exempt person filings as needed for CTR purposes
  • Perform & support BSA/AML training for Credit Union staff, Board of Directors and volunteers

 Full-Time Mortgage Processor – Waltham

This full-time position is responsible for numerous tasks that are vital to the smooth operation of our Mortgage Lending Department. In addition to the requirements listed below, we are searching for an enthusiastic, customer-service-oriented individual to become part of our team.

Duties and requirements:

  • Basic knowledge of mortgage lending
  • Identify, prioritize, develop and maintain a quality pipeline of mortgage files to facilitate Residential Mortgage Loan closings
  • Answer member mortgage inquiries
  • Process initial loan applications and issue disbursements for mortgage closings
  • Set up loan parameters in our core system, prepare net funding worksheet and disburse loan proceeds via wire transfer to attorney, payoff RTN loans and fund members account accordingly
  • Review reports from vendors and correct as necessary

Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma (Associate’s or Bachelor’s Degree preferred)
  • Two years of residential processing experience is required

Full-Time Loan Processor – Waltham

This is a great opportunity for a self-motivated individual who enjoys working with the public. This position is responsible for conducting loan interviews, preparing complete applications, recommending decisions and processing loan applications as well as cross sell Credit Union product and services with the ultimate objective of providing superior member service.

Duties and requirements:

  • Receives and reviews loan requests
  • Prepares data for Loan Committee review
  • Notifies members of approvals and disapprovals
  • Prepares documents and checks for members
  • Answers inquiries on loan policy and procedure

Basic Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma (Associate’s or Bachelor’s Degree preferred)

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Requires strong analytical and problem solving skills with the ability to underwrite loans weighing risk for reward
  • Must be service oriented and possess strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Requires the ability to successfully negotiate business transactions with associated vendors
  • Knowledge of state and federal lending regulation and experience with the credit processing system

Full-Time Universal Bankers – Waltham and Tewksbury

RTN Federal Credit Union is looking for friendly, outgoing, versatile individuals to work directly with our customers (members) to help them with their financial service needs. This 40-hour full-time position will be based at Waltham and Tewksbury branches.

Duties and requirements:

  • Proficient in all aspects of member service including processing consumer loans from application to closing
  • Assists members with mortgages and home equity applications and conducts home equity loan closings
  • Identifies opportunities and refers member to RTN Financial & Retirement Group and to RTN Realty Advisors
  • Promotes RTN Insurance Agency by assisting members with their insurance needs
  • Assists management with daily operations and professional requirements
  • Ability to meet goals as established by management
  • Develops and deepens members’ relationships by demonstrating ownership and resolving members’ problems efficiently, and by turning servicing requests and routine transactions into opportunities to enhance our members’ financial well-being
  • Successfully completes all required registrations or certifications as needed
  • Requires travel to other branches as need
  • Required to work Saturdays
  • May perform other functions of an equal value as may be required

This position is ideal for candidates who are self-motivated, possesses excellent verbal and written communication skills as well as the ability to work with people at all levels and to take the initiative to go above and beyond basic customer service. Knowledge of a second language is a plus – Spanish speaking preferred.

Full-Time ATM/Checking Processor – Waltham

ATM/Checking Processor is responsible for numerous tasks that are vital to the smooth operation of RTN’s  ATM/Checking Department. In addition to the requirements listed below, we are searching for an enthusiastic, customer-service-oriented individuals to become part of our team.

Duties include but are not limited to:

  • Process ATM and debit card applications
  • Process daily share draft exception list
  • Order ATM and debit records
  • Verify and balance ATM envelopes and prepare cash deposit for bank
  • Image checks
  • Process incoming member account corrections per Fiserv reports from foreign ATM networks
  • Balance ATM machines as needed
  • Assist and support branch personnel and members with a variety of inquiries
  • May require travel

The position requires at minimum a High School Diploma or equivalent (Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree preferred).

Full-Time Credit Card Processor – Waltham

This position is responsible for setting up new credit card accounts, updating existing accounts on our credit card system and answering credit card account-related inquiries both internally and externally.

Duties include but are not limited to:

  • Processing credit card applications from start to finish including pulling credit reports, figuring debt-to-income ratios and preparing all necessary paperwork
  • Transcribing loan-by-phone applications
  • Setting up new accounts on the credit card system, updating existing accounts, processing increases to existing credit care accounts
  • Answering credit card related questions from our members (external) and our employees (internal)

Requirements:

  • High School Diploma (Associates or Bachelor’s Degree preferred)
  • One year’s experience in a financial institution, preferably a bank or credit union

Additionally, the successful candidate will:

  • Possess strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Be customer-service oriented, with a friendly and welcoming demeanor
  • Be organized and detail oriented

Full-Time Member Services Representative – Waltham

We are seeking a customer-service-oriented individual for a Member Service Representative position (36 hours,  Tuesday through Saturday) based at our Waltham branch. This is a great opportunity for a self-motivated individual who enjoys working with the public. Excellent communication skills and a professional demeanor are essential for delivering a high level of service whether in person or over the phone. The successful candidate has worked in a team setting and has demonstrated an ability to communicate effectively with people at all levels while processing transactions accurately and efficiently.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Assisting members with account inquiries and resolving any account problems
  • Opening new share savings, checking, club and other accounts
  • Cross selling member products and services, including extended warranty and Gap insurance
  • Assisting members in the use of product service technology such as ATMs, banking by phone system (CU-TEL), Loan-by-Phone, and any other e-commerce vehicles

The position requires at a minimum:

  • High School Diploma (Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree preferred)
  • Five years customer service experience in a financial institution
  • Spanish bilingual is a plus

In addition, qualified candidates will have a professional and friendly demeanor as well as strong written and verbal communication skills. Attention to detail is an essential component of this position. This individual will also float to branch offices as needed.

Full-Time Tellers – Amesbury, Brookline, Danvers, Dorchester, Marlborough and Waltham

We have a great opportunities for friendly, outgoing, customer-service-oriented individuals who would like to join RTN as Tellers.  These positions are full-time, Monday through Friday with Saturday rotations at existing branch or another RTN branch location. Put your communication skills to use as you interact with our members to assist them with their financial services needs. Knowledge of a second language is a plus (Spanish speaking preferred).

Duties:

  • Perform daily transactions (deposits, withdrawals, transfers, travel checks, money orders, savings bonds, etc.) accurately and efficiently with a friendly and courteous demeanor
  • Balance daily teller work
  • Explain Credit Union products and services to customers
  • Travel to other branch offices as needed

Requirements:

  • Minimum of a High School Diploma and experience with customer service in a financial institution
  • Knowledge of a second language is a plus

Part-Time Teller – Danvers

We are seeking a customer-service-oriented individual for a 25-hour Part-Time Teller position based in our Danvers branch. This is a great opportunity for a customer service-oriented, self-motivated individual who enjoys working with the public. We are seeking friendly candidates with excellent communication skills. Hours are Monday to Friday including a Saturday rotation.

Duties:

  • Perform daily transactions (deposits, withdrawals, transfers, travel checks, money orders, savings bonds, etc.) accurately and efficiently with a friendly and courteous demeanor
  • Balance daily teller work
  • Explain Credit Union products and services to customers
  • Travel to other branch offices as needed

Requirements:

  • Minimum of a High School Diploma and experience with customer service in a financial institution
  • Knowledge of a second language is a plus
