Commitment to Our Local Communities & Organizations

RTN is proud to support organizations in our local communities throughout the year, and especially when there is an emergency. Our primary focus is to support non-profits, events and activities in the local communities where RTN branches are located. The Credit Union is particularly active during the holiday season to help make sure those in need enjoy the joys of the season.

Community involvement is a core value of RTN as a credit union. RTN supports local community projects and initiatives, and works collaboratively with members, sponsor groups and surrounding communities through financial support and volunteer participation.

Member Appreciation Day

RTN hosts an annual Member Appreciation Day at RTN branches in Amesbury, Brookline, Danvers, Dorchester Lower Mills, Marlborough, Tewksbury and Waltham.  The event features refreshments, giveaways, activities for kids, photos with seasonal winter scenes and a visit from Santa at select locations. The event is free for members and non-members who come into the branches.

Coat Drives

RTN Employees Community Outreach collects coats of all sizes for those in need during the winter season.

Food Drives for Families in Need

RTN Employees Community Outreach is a participant in the annual March food drive to benefit Our Neighbors’ Table, a local food bank. RTN is one of ten area institutions that collect non-perishable food items for Our Neighbors’ Table.

Holiday Strolls

RTN takes part in the annual Dorchester Lower Mills Holiday Stroll co-sponsored by the Lower Mills Merchants Association and The Lower Mills Civic Organization. Over 30 business stay open late to offer refreshments, discounts or to display work from local artists. The stroll includes free trolley stops along the stroll route from Carney Hospital to Forbes House Museum, raffles, hot chocolate shops, live entertainment and a visit from Santa Claus.

In addition to RTN’s wide initiatives, our individual branches are equally committed to supporting our local community organizations. RTN’s branches support local community projects and initiatives through financial support and volunteer participation.
