We’re involved in many events and activities this holiday season, and we invite members and the community to celebrate this special time of year with us.
In November, the RTN Employees Community Outreach Committee is organizing the annual Thanksgiving Food Drive in which we provide a complete Thanksgiving dinner to four Waltham families. As in past years, our neighbor, the Common Café, is donating the turkeys; we collect the rest. If you’d like to help, suggested donations include canned vegetables and cranberry sauce, chicken broth or gravy, apple cider, breads, stuffing, nuts, pasta and sauce, dried beans, rice, deserts and supermarket gift cards. And thanks to everyone who supported the drive we held for the Tewksbury Food Pantry at our Tewksbury branch.
On Saturday, November 25, from 3 to 6 pm, we’ll be part of the Dorchester Lower Mills Holiday Stroll, which coincides with Small Business Saturday. Our Dorchester branch will be transformed into a winter wonderland, with holiday music, refreshments and a visit from Santa. In addition, family favorite performer Jungle Jim will entertain with magic and balloon creations.
On Saturday, December 2, our Hudson branch will be open from 4 to 8 pm for Member Appreciation Day and for the annual Hudson Holiday Stroll. Come by for refreshments, holiday cheer and free photos with Santa from 4 to 7 pm.
Our community branches will celebrate Member Appreciation Day on Friday, December 8 (Worcester branch) and Saturday, December 9 (Amesbury, Brookline, Danvers, Dorchester, Marlborough, Tewksbury and Waltham branches). The day will feature refreshments, kids’ activities and giveaways, plus free photos with Santa at our Brookline, Danvers, Marlborough, Tewksbury, Waltham and Worcester branches.
We look forward to celebrating the season with you!
