We are excited that RTN is the winner of the Cooperative Credit Union Association (CCUA) 2016 Award of Excellence in Social Responsibility for Massachusetts credit unions. The award was presented at the CCUA’s Annual Meeting and Convention on October 14.
RTN is one of four credit unions to be honored for Excellence in Social Responsibility, one from each of the four states served by the CCUA – Massachusetts, New Hampshire, Rhode Island and Delaware. Four awards were also given for Excellence in Advocacy. These awards recognize credit unions for excellence in promoting a deeper awareness and knowledge of credit unions by their commitment to advocacy and social responsibility.
RTN is committed to helping those in need in our local communities through our annual Walk Home fundraiser, ongoing projects throughout the year, as well as our financial education for members and the community.
This commitment is shared by our staff, who do so much throughout the year to help those in need in our local branch and SEG communities and the community at large. Thanks to everyone who helps RTN embody the Credit Union philosophy of “people helping people.”
