In 2017, RTN expanded its geographical reach, deepened our charitable and community giving, and received service recognition. As we look to meet the challenges ahead, we take a moment to share some of RTN’s top stories from 2017.

Readers Choice Awards
RTN’s Amesbury and Waltham branches each received 2017 Readers Choice Awards. The Amesbury Branch was voted the #1 Choice for Community Bank/Credit Union in Amesbury. The Waltham Branch was voted an Honorable Mention Community Bank/Credit Union for Waltham. This is the second year in a row that RTN is a Readers Choice selection, and the second year in a row that our Amesbury Branch has won an award.

A Match Made in Hudson
Hudson Municipal Employees Federal Credit Union (Hudson MEFCU) became part of the RTN family in 2017. New members in Hudson continue to be served by familiar staff, and enjoy access to a wider range of products and services, more branches and a larger ATM network, while RTN expanded its membership base in the Hudson area.

RTN University
RTN University was launched as a new training opportunity for RTN employees. RTN University is instructor-led education that covers a wide range of topics, and is designed to grow and enhance our staff’s skills. The goal is to expand our employees’ knowledge base and enhance their training opportunities to have the tools they need to provide the best service for our members.

RTN GoodWorks Foundation
Nearly 200 walkers, volunteers and staff joined together for RTN’s 7th annual Walk Home in June, which raised $22,039 for homeless teens and families. RTN GoodWorks Golf Tournament raised $30,000 for Foundation projects and initiatives. In November, RTN donated $3251.62, funds collected through the Foundation to the Greater Houston Community Foundation to help support their Hurricane Harvey relief efforts.

Getting Financially Fit
More than 800 people attended our free financial seminars in the workplace, branches and community settings in 2017. Seminars covered a broad range of financial topics, from home buying to budgeting to working with a financial planner. How we feel about money helps shape our choices in managing money throughout our lives. RTN is committed to providing members and attendees the tools they need to be financially successful.
