Making a Difference – Walk Home 2018

We did it!

Thanks to all our walkers, volunteers, donors, business sponsors and community partners who helped make Walk Home 2018 such a wonderful event in each location – Danvers Rail Trail, Dorchester Park and Waltham Common.

We had more than 100 walkers and volunteers participate, and the weather cooperated. We appreciate the generosity of all of our donors and business sponsors.

We’re so grateful for the efforts of so many people throughout the Credit Union who contributed in so many ways, and came together to help the estimated 42,000 children and teens who will experience homelessness in Massachusetts this year.

So far, we have raised close to $18,000 and funds are still coming in. We will have an official ceremony in September to give the funds to Massachusetts Coalition for the Homeless and help homeless teens and families in Danvers, Dorchester and Waltham.

Thanks again to everyone who helped make Walk Home 2018 a great success.

I love participating in the Walk Home event every year. There’s such a sense of goodwill and caring from the participants. All those involved are pleased to do what they can to alleviate if not eradicate this problem. I already am looking forward to next year’s Walk.
