Fixed-Rate Home Equity Loans and Home Improvement Loans

  • Up to 20 year terms
  • Borrow from $15,000 to $250,000
  • Borrow up to 80% of your home’s value or condominium (using the Automated Value Method or AVM), less your present mortgage; up to 85% if your first mortgage is with RTN
  • Members are required to reimburse RTN FCU for closing costs if loan is paid off within the first 3 years
  • Discounted rates available with direct deposit to an RTN FCU account and automated payment from an RTN FCU account

    Does your first mortgage have to be with the credit union to apply for a home equity loan?

    Retired w/spouse. Inherited property with great equity and mortgage of $136,000 Was going to take out mortgage but advised it was more beneficial to take mortgage or home equity on primary residence ( currently no mortgage, paid). Considering $80000 loan with 70 thousand down from private funds I wonder if reasonable and what would my rates be for comparison . Speaking to banks as well but interested in discussing
